Synopsis

Kagura’s prized beetle perished in a fighting match. She attempts to persuade Gintoki and Shinpachi to accompany her on a beetle hunt, a request that is only met with enthusiasm when the prospect of profit is dangled before them. The unlikely trio then encounters the Shinsengumi, who, it turns out, are also engaged in capturing beetles, though their motives remain obscure.
