Synopsis

With a sense of impending stagnation at Control and a bleak outlook for her relationship with Max, 99 made the decision to leave. She accepted Victor Royale's marriage proposal, a man both strikingly handsome and undeniably wealthy. Jealousy spurred Max to action; he resolved to pursue her. Having recently saved Royale from an assassination attempt, Royale offered Max a position as his bodyguard.
