Synopsis

Reverend Ainsworth, a widower, journeyed to Halifax with the intention of marrying Ann Walker. He was unaware that his attentions stirred up unwelcome recollections for her beloved. Determined to address the situation in her own way, Anne resolved to confront the clergyman. Yet, she soon discovered that deeper, more troubling forces resided within Ann Walker's own mind.
