I began watching shortly after its release because I’d heard it appealed to people who enjoyed *Lord of the Rings*. However, I quit after the first season; it was just too upsetting for me. It wasn't until 2015 that I decided to give it another try, and then I became completely hooked. Initially, it felt overwhelming—so many interwoven narratives and characters. To help me keep track, I even consulted online resources like a family tree organized by house, and a *Game of Thrones* wiki, so I could better understand the backgrounds of each character. As a television series, this show has an incredible ability to transport you somewhere else entirely, with a constant sense of unpredictability. It’s quite bold that anyone can die at any moment—I learned early on not to get too invested, and now I just accept that everyone will eventually meet their end (that way I don't feel as bad, haha). I haven’t read the books, but the show is enjoyable, and you’ll find yourself strongly supporting your favorite characters while genuinely disliking others. It includes fantasy elements, action sequences, dramatic moments, comedic relief, romance...and plenty of unexpected twists!
