Synopsis

Michelle resolved to compete in the annual downhill soapbox derby. With Becky’s assistance, she began constructing a car. A discouraging chorus of opinions suggesting girls had no place in such a competition nearly caused her to abandon the project. However, Becky’s encouragement prevailed, and they entered the elimination heats. The final race pitted Michelle against Kenny, a perennial champion. To the astonishment of the crowd, Michelle surged ahead and claimed victory. Elsewhere, Stephani
