Synopsis

The uprising against President Bashar al-Assad has taken a grim turn in Syria, transforming the once-peaceful Orontes River valley into a perilous sectarian battlefield where neighbors now fight each other. Olly Lambert spent five weeks immersed in the conflict, living on both sides of the divide to document the daily lives of rebels, government soldiers, and the civilians who sustain them.
