Amidst the complexities of war, Martin Smith, Marcela Gaviria, and Scott Anger embarked on a five-week journey through Iraq. From the Kurdish north, across the Sunni Triangle, and into the Shiite south, they sought to understand the nation's social and political landscape beyond the official narratives emanating from Baghdad. Their reporting aimed to illuminate the realities shaping the lives of ordinary Iraqis.
