I’ve rarely encountered a series with such a profound impact; it stirred feelings within me and evoked a sense of longing for times and events I never personally lived through, completely captivating my attention. While I didn't connect as deeply with certain aspects involving Himmel, the rest resonated strongly. Frieren is an exceptional character who portrays immortality in a thoughtful way, and her relationship with Stark feels genuine and well-developed. Each supporting player leaves a lasting impression. The visuals are stunning, and the direction is superb. It’s refreshing to see an anime explore fantasy through a distinctly feminine lens, focusing on emotions often associated with women rather than typical tropes of power and triumph. I believe this will become a modern classic, rightfully securing a place among the best anime of the 2020s.
