Synopsis

Phoebe’s ex-boyfriend, a submariner in the Navy, arrives in New York for a two-week leave. Alas, Phoebe contracts chickenpox at Ben’s first birthday celebration. Monica, observing that Richard seems remarkably free of anxieties, begins to question whether her own eccentricities might be a barrier to their connection. Meanwhile, Chandler orchestrates a position as a food processor for Joey.
