Synopsis

A shadow of apprehension clung to Martin as the prospect of Ronee’s mother’s visit loomed. The woman harbored a deep-seated dislike for him, rooted in a misunderstanding from years past. She had witnessed, with a misconstrued gaze, Martin offering comfort to a teenage Ronee and had wrongly concluded his intentions were predatory, a desire to claim her innocence.
