Synopsis

Detective Chief Superintendent Foyle remained on duty, a fixture in the department since the war, his position unfilled. He was approached by Brigadier Timothy Wilson, a man from Foyle's own days in service during the Great War. Wilson sought assistance with a matter of some urgency: a Russian prisoner of war, Ivan Spiakov, had escaped and was believed to be somewhere in the Hastings area.
