Synopsis

Four smiths prepare for a decisive contest, their challenge to forge a camp knife from steel salvaged from a barbecue. Intense heat pervades the workshop as they first must discern the properties of the metal – distinguishing between high-carbon and mild steel. After their blades are meticulously heated and endure rigorous testing, only two smiths proceed to their home forges to recreate a pair of Frankish throwing axes.
