Synopsis

In the winter of 1988, the body of a young woman was discovered in an Ohio river, encased in ice. With scant evidence, authorities grasp at a single thread that might lead them to her killer, but face formidable obstacles: a protective network of police connections and the devastating loss of crucial DNA evidence swept away by the current.
