Synopsis

In 1981, Donna Payant, a New York correctional officer, vanished, her body discovered years later in a landfill. The investigation pointed towards the inmates of the facility where she worked. A medical examiner, examining the remains, identified a distinctive clue—a "signature"—linking Payant's death to a murder he had investigated a decade prior.
