Synopsis

In 2007, the mobile home of Effie and Michael Ratley in Florida caught fire. Michael, in a heroic act, rescued his wife and infant son from the blaze. A month later, however, Effie was discovered beaten to death in the bedroom of her parents' house. The damaged window screen suggested an intruder, yet the absence of concrete evidence steered investigators toward a more unsettling possibility.
