Synopsis

In 2008, Alan Helmick, a Colorado real estate developer, was discovered shot dead in his home. His wife, Miriam, quickly became the central figure of suspicion. Though law enforcement possessed a considerable amount of circumstantial evidence against her, a definitive conviction remained elusive. The fate of the case hinged on a single piece of evidence: a .25 caliber bullet fired two decades prior from the weapon now lost to time.
