Synopsis

Kathy Augustine, a Nevada politician, died under suspicious circumstances during a vigorous re-election campaign in 2006. The medical examiner was unable to determine the cause of death, nor could he account for minute puncture wounds found during the autopsy. The case drew attention, and investigators zeroed in on her husband, Chaz Higgs, a critical care nurse with access to succinylcholine.
