Synopsis

The office, bathed in harsh midday light, bore silent witness to the brutal act. The initial suspicion fell upon Lou Campbell, a man who had previously threatened the victim. Yet, he was eventually exonerated. The investigation then shifted to Richard Buchli, Armitage’s law partner. A lawyer of little renown, Buchli was burdened by debts exceeding two hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
