Synopsis

The unassuming bacterium, *Escherichia coli*, exists ubiquitously in meats, milk, and water. When handled and stored with proper care, it poses no threat. However, without these basic precautions, *E. coli* can have devastating consequences. Raw Terror recounts the harrowing story of Damion Heersink, an eleven-year-old boy whose life was nearly lost after consuming a hamburger contaminated with *E. coli*, and the dedicated individuals who fought to save him.
