Synopsis

In 1971, John List left a note with the bodies of his mother, wife, and three children in the ballroom of his mansion, the mournful sound of funeral organ music filling the space as he vanished. Eighteen years later, detectives had little to go on but an outdated photograph of the man. In 1989, the television program *America's Most Wanted* commissioned an age-scaled bust of List to assist viewers in identification.
