Fresh from the brutal trials imposed by Benimaru Shinmon, Shinra Kusakabe and Arthur Boyle rejoin Special Fire Force Company 8 – but there’s no breathing room. Their return is immediately overshadowed when Captain Akitaru Oubi is taken into custody by the military police, seemingly manipulated by the sinister White-Clad cult. The situation spirals further as Haumea, a formidable pillar with Adolla Burst, has subtly infiltrated the Tokyo Empire's leadership and burrowed deep within the firefighting organization itself. Now, after attempting to rescue their captain, Shinra and Company 8 find themselves labeled rebels, thrust into a desperate fight to liberate Tokyo from an unseen enemy.
A lull had fallen over Shinra and the others when a sudden alarm shattered the quiet. The sound cut through Obi’s report to the Fire Chief, demanding immediate attention.
On the eighth day, they moved to free Obi. Branded as traitors, they fled, only to find themselves confronted by Joker's sudden appearance.
