Synopsis

Miyata’s reminder of their pact reveals a stark truth: his progress has far outstripped Ippo’s, fueled by an almost exclusive dependence on the Dempsey Roll. Then, when Ippo’s next opponent, Shimabukuro Iwao, vows to dismantle the very technique that defines him, Ippo resolves to refine the Dempsey Roll, eliminating every vulnerability. The coach, undeterred by the challenge – even if it means confronting the core tenets of modern boxing – commits to assisting Ippo in this endeavor.
