The first season proved truly exceptional, showcasing impressive performances and a strong script. The editing felt precise, and throughout the entire run, I consistently found myself impressed by how clever the series was. It demonstrated perfectly how some narratives benefit from being unfolded over an extended period rather than compressed into a film format. However, Season 2 presented a very strange experience. I honestly believe the writing staff might have been under the influence of something or experiencing significant discomfort. The plot developments were odd, and the quality of the acting noticeably declined when compared to Jessica Lange's involvement. It felt overly indulgent in places, and some scenes were frankly unpleasant. I don’t plan on watching any other projects from Ryan Murphy. 🤢
