I really enjoyed this series. It doesn’t rely heavily on plot developments, which meant it needed some time to click with me. The story’s strength lies in how effectively portrayed the characters are. There’s a strong feeling of authenticity and location thanks to its Memphis setting. The show explores that transitional period in life—early to mid-twenties—where people are figuring out their careers and what they want, and it does so with a welcome subtlety and honesty as the characters evolve through what happens to them. Everyone involved delivers great performances. Two significant supporting roles address issues of addiction and depression, which is treated with both realism and emotional depth. The episodes are brief, making it feel like it flies by, and the ending provides a satisfying sense that this phase in the characters’ lives has come to an end. I definitely suggest checking it out.
