The championship was won, and celebration was underway when tragedy struck. Varoli, the team's president and trainer, was found dead amidst the revelry. Suspicion immediately fell on Vivana, a former player whose life had been irrevocably altered by an accident caused by Varoli – an accident that now left her confined to a wheelchair.
