Synopsis

As the mayor delivered his address at the Kembleford village fete, he collapsed and died. Father Brown, observing the scene, quickly surmised that the death was no accident; it was a deliberate act of electrocution. Simultaneously, a shadow from Mrs. McCarthy’s past resurfaced, threatening to unravel her carefully constructed present.
