It’s been a genuinely surprising find of the year, and it's frustrating to think it didn't receive more attention. The premise isn’t entirely new; it follows a familiar formula about the movie industry, detailing how things operate and the challenges newcomers face when entering a studio environment. It incorporates scams, controversies, personal conflicts, broken friendships, business negotiations, press events, public appearances, and much more. I've only begun watching television series in recent years, though I’m now reviewing them. What appeals to me about TV shows is the level of detail you can find. Films often lack that depth due to their shorter running times—typically 90 or 120 minutes. But a ten-episode series with each episode lasting around 40 minutes provides an average of seven hours per season, allowing for extensive exploration and intricate details. Certain elements felt deliberate, but ultimately the storytelling worked well. The show generated considerable interest in its viewers, and I consistently found myself wanting to know what would happen next. It was more about sparking curiosity than building suspense—a distinction that some who watched it may have missed, leading to their dissatisfaction. Three young friends living together in Los Angeles each pursue their own ambitions. When one unexpectedly lands a role in a feature film, they quickly become famous, which changes many things. Problems seem to escalate rather than get resolved. Eventually, an attempt is made to sort everything out, but it’s complicated by a twist. The narrative revolves around fame, envy, disagreements, and other difficulties. As with any story, the final episode reveals where everyone ends up and what the ultimate outcome will be. The casting was excellent; I enjoyed all of the actors and actresses involved. Bella Thorne gave an exceptional performance in the lead role—something I didn't anticipate after seeing her previous work. It’s easily the best acting I’ve seen from her. I am hoping for a second season, because the first one felt unfinished. I was disappointed that it didn’t resolve everything. However, it’s good they held back some elements to continue in the next season. ...It's encouraging to know there will be more to look forward to, rather than having filmmakers create new stories and adventures out of nothing—essentially undermining the original with those same characters just for commercial gain. Regardless, this is a worthwhile program, and I’m now eagerly awaiting the next season. It's not exclusively for teenagers; adults can appreciate it too. Give it a try! _8/10_
