A pall of anxiety had settled over everyone. News of death arrived with relentless frequency, demanding difficult choices from Ilgaz and Ceylin, and a reckoning with the consequences that followed. While the position of Attorney General was being filled by a Deputy, speculation swirled around the next appointment.
