The film begins with "THE END" displayed on screen, a warning I probably should have taken seriously at the time. To put it briefly, the experience was uncomfortable, felt overly concerned with contemporary social issues, and relied too heavily on sentimental moments to the point of being sickening; the uninspired plot didn't help matters, nor did the odd casting decisions that seemed out of place. The visual effects were adequate, the settings were acceptable, and the musical score fit the tone, but little else stood out. I made it through a single episode, and that was quite enough for me.
