Synopsis

A message arrived from the Seventh Massachusetts: the aliens were en route to attack the Second. Clayton, of the Seventh, relayed the news, and his plan—to shepherd the children to safety while the adults held the line—was met with hesitation, particularly from the parents, including Tom.
