Synopsis

Fiona and Philip halted the auction of a painting, once a national treasure of Germany, pilfered from its Jewish owners by the Nazis during the Second World War. They then embarked on a journey to uncover the truth behind the artwork, tracing its history as the question of its authorship – whether it be the work of Rembrandt – began to emerge.
