This is my very first post anywhere! Wish me luck. Extinct explores some intriguing science-fiction concepts, including potential applications of nanotechnology, time travel, and artificial intelligence. The series takes place in a bleak future, four centuries from now, and centers on the challenges faced by a group of humans who have been regenerated using nanotechnology as they attempt to rebuild civilization in a ruined world. These regenerated people also must deal with mysterious alien parasites and an influential, unidentified extraterrestrial presence. Considering its modest budget, the show features acceptable special effects, and the acting—particularly from Victoria Atkin and Chad Michael Collins, who bears a resemblance to a younger Denis Quaid—is generally quite good. The action sequences are decent as well, though it’s not on par with Star Wars. Overall, I found the program enjoyable and worth watching. I'm curious to hear what others think of it. It definitely warrants some conversation, I believe. P.S. As of October first, eight episodes are available online on a few different sites, so if you can locate them, you could binge-watch like I did...if that’s something you'd be interested in.
