Synopsis

Gates unearths the history concealed within vampire legends. His investigation begins in Curtea Veche, Romania, where he traces the origins of Dracula to Vlad the Impaler. From there, he journeys to Marotinu de Sus, a Romanian village, to witness the desecration of a recent grave – an act performed by six men who believed the deceased to be a "strigoi." Finally, he arrives at Perperikon in Bulgaria to examine a purported vampire burial site.
