Synopsis

In childhood, Joy regarded her mother, Anna Young, as a conduit for the divine. Within their secluded church community, Anna enforced her own strict code of conduct, meted out evenhanded punishment to all who transgressed it. Years later, Joy came to a chilling realization: her mother was not an angel, but something far more sinister.
