Synopsis

The arrival of Debra’s mother for a weeklong visit brought an unexpected disappointment. Debra hadn't anticipated her mother’s unwillingness to lend a hand with household tasks, nor her seeming indifference toward the children. To her surprise, Debra realized she harbored a wish—a quiet longing—that her own mother might be more like Marie.
