Synopsis

Coach Tugnut seeks a new member for the track team and invites Louis, the younger brother of Donnie Stevens – a man the coach holds in high regard – to try out. Team member Larry Beale sees this as his chance to undermine the Stevens legacy at Lawrence Junior High and finally overcome his long-standing rivals. During the tryout, Larry subtly exaggerates Louis's performance, securing him a place on the team. In practice, Larry deliberately holds back, leading Louis to believe he is an exceptional
