The depiction of Paris felt completely fabricated, as if those responsible for the script had never actually visited France, or perhaps hadn’t ventured beyond American borders. The writing itself comes across as careless, relying on tired tropes and even fabricating details that don't exist. Emily is difficult to tolerate; while she’s presented as someone worthy of admiration within the show, her character functions more like a shallow antagonist than a central figure.
