Synopsis

Carmel spoke with Mary, and a tentative ease began to settle between them. Yet, Carmel harbored the suspicion that Mary intended to abandon Annie once more. Mary, sensing this, confessed a simple desire for acceptance, only to find herself repeatedly taken advantage of.
