Pauline slipped out, offering a false account of her destination. She appeared later at Margaret’s, an unexpected visitor, and they took Rebecca with them. Martin and Sonia were delighted by Pauline’s cheerful disposition, oblivious to the reason behind it. Meanwhile, Kat confided in Little Mo that she was concerned about frightening Alfie away.
