Synopsis

Stacey made a persistent effort to dissuade Johnny from sending Ruby back to school. Later, he confided in Charlie that Stacey, too, deserved an education. A sense of being disregarded had settled upon Stacey; she felt invisible because she wasn't one of Charlie’s chosen ones, and that schooling was unnecessary for her. He apologized for his neglect, yet insisted she needed every opportunity to learn. A small, self-satisfied smile touched Stacey's lips.
