Synopsis

Zoë’s morning began with a sharp reminder from Den about her doctor’s appointment, a detail she hadn’t appreciated until now. She recalled that he had been the one to instruct Dennis to arrange it. Meanwhile, Stacey was late for work at the Minute Mart, a familiar occurrence, but Patrick was too preoccupied with a different worry. It was his birthday, and he hadn't come home or even offered a call.
