Synopsis

A surge of anger tightened Arthur's features as he witnessed Den handing cash to Tom. "The reception could be held at the community centre," Pauline suggested, "if each guest contributes five pounds." But Arthur was adamant; he felt it was his sole responsibility to cover all expenses. Later, overcome with emotion, he wept in Pauline’s arms, confessing his feeling of utter worthlessness.
