Synopsis

Just as Ali and Sue were unlocking the café before dawn, Beresford and Victor emerged from their Merc and pushed their way inside. Victor seized Ali’s arm in a firm grip, while Beresford, with quiet composure, outlined Mr. Scanlon's proposition: protection for immigrants at a rate of ten pounds a week.
