It’s disappointing to find my worries about this confirmed. Dune Prophecy seems like it should do well—it has a strong cast with both new faces and seasoned performers, impressive production quality, and is based on the familiar science fiction world of "Dune." However, that's where I feel any good qualities stop. From what I can tell, this series deviates significantly from the ideas and narrative found in the books and movies. Instead, it feels like a reimagining infused with progressive themes and, in my opinion, an uncomfortable amount of negativity toward men. Ultimately, I'm left wondering who the intended audience is. It’s clear that associating something with a popular brand—whether it’s a series or a novel—doesn't guarantee faithfulness or accuracy. That’s become increasingly apparent in entertainment these days. I can’t recommend this at all.
