The initial two seasons are exceptional; however, seasons three and four completely fell apart following David Marciano’s exit. It's possible he saw what was coming and left in protest. Consequently, I’m only giving the first portion of the series a ten-star rating. The show immediately captivated me. It felt wonderfully different to see a protagonist who consistently adheres to protocol, is impeccably mannered, and yet also possesses considerable intelligence and an analytical mind, even if they are somewhat inexperienced. My fondness for stories set in Western Canada likely influenced my appreciation of this series.
