Synopsis

He stood before the mirror, a knot of anxiety tightening in his chest. It was time. Time to tell his parents. He’d rehearsed the conversation countless times, each iteration feeling more fragile than the last. They didn't know. They couldn't possibly understand. To ease the tremor in his voice, he began a series of role-playing exercises. He imagined their reactions – the confusion, perhaps the disappointment, maybe even acceptance. Each scenario was a step, however small, towards facing th
