It’s not particularly good or bad when held up against the initial show; my feeling is somewhere in the middle. The storyline feels quite foreseeable, and there isn’t much tension left, at least from my perspective. I imagine people who didn’t experience the first run of the series might find this version enjoyable, and I will concede that the animation quality is impressive. However, I feel bad for anyone who missed out on the original show because of what's been lost here. To describe it briefly, I would say “meh,” with occasional glimmers of something worthwhile.
