Synopsis

Stephanie describes her life with Hal, her partner of fifteen years, as a relentless nightmare. Hal has been diagnosed with a rare condition that causes his body to produce the effects of alcohol, rendering him legally intoxicated without any actual consumption. He suffers from auto-brewery syndrome, for which no definitive cure exists. Hal explains that he navigates his days with a constant awareness of his condition; one moment he may be completely sober, and the next, within the hour, he can
