Synopsis

Savannah, sixteen years old, maintains she is indistinguishable from her peers: she smokes marijuana, skips classes, enjoys parties with friends, and even engages in sexting. Yet, Savannah’s mother, Tami, insists her daughter’s behavior is spiraling beyond control. Savannah has been suspended from school forty times, Tami claims, and associates with gang members. Feeling she has exhausted all avenues of assistance, Tami has taken the drastic step of sending Savannah to live with her grandparents
