Synopsis

Eighteen-year-old Maddie maintains she does not suffer from an eating disorder, a contention sharply disputed by her mother, stepfather, and grandmother. They describe a gradual self-starvation, punctuated by repeated hospitalizations for dehydration and debilitating fatigue that prevents her from fully engaging with life.
